I recently bought a used L2550 Kabuta and am thinking of getting a block heater for cold weather.Do I have to get a special type of block heater?

Depending on the temps you get some of the Kubota engines will start down well below zero without a block heater. Some times just a trickle charger on the battery to keep it warm will be enough. The easiest installations are the factory heaters vs not knowing exactly what you need and having to run back to the store to pick up some pieces you might have forgot or need to modify your initial thoughts. ....
